PLEASE NOTE THE FOLLOWING:

ALL YOUR COACHES SHOULD BE AWARE

Please forward this email to all coaches.

1) Each Club is responsible for providing a home field and time for all home games identified (H) on the schedules. If a club fails to provide a field for an assigned Home game, this must be reported to Celia Plottel and a $50 fine will be levied to that club.

2) Coaches must contact the opposing coach/mgr. to confirm field & time to play. Same rules as above if you are a "no show" to a game charged to the missing team.

All cancelled games must be reported to Celia Plottel hawksfhc@telus.net and the cancelled team shall be charged $50, due to the GVJFHL .

The individual team contacts & schedules will be available soon on the website www.fieldhockey.org

If you haven't already, PLEASE SEND YOUR TEAM CONTACT INFORMATION TO ME AT hawksfhc@telus.net ASAP. The league will assume your Club has obtained permission to have the coach/manager information posted to the website.

3) U12 & U16 should be scheduled on Saturday's wherever possible. There may be the odd game scheduled on a Sunday if necessary.

4) U14 & U18 should be scheduled on Sunday's wherever possible.

If a club is unable to provide enough field time at their home park to accommodate the "Home" game requirement, that club should contact another club to arrange for additional turf/field time.

5) If you require a special arrangement to re-schedule a game, you must negotiate an arrangement with the opposing team. Failure to come to a reasonable agreeable alternative will always fall back to original schedule for responsibility to play & field the game. It is not reasonable to request a team to play two games in one weekend and no games another weekend. We base the season on one game per week or weekend. 

 6) Each home team is required to provide two umpires per game. If the home team is unable to provide both umpires, the home team is required to contact the away team to see if they can bring an umpire. The home team will be responsible for having money to pay the visiting umpire at the park prior to the game.

The schedules have been prepared with as much consideration as possible, to provide 50% of each teams league games at home. You can well imagine that it "may not be a perfect world" for everyone, but on the average it seems to have worked out pretty close.
